Marianne Slotboom

Marianne grew up in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology from the State University of Leiden and followed a postgraduate in Business Administration at the Erasmus University, Rotterdam.

After her studies, she worked as a management consultant within the Erasmus Medical Center of Rotterdam. She was responsible for the implementation of Total Quality Management and the design of supporting training. This concerned the improvement of internal business processes and customer orientated services.

From 1994 to 1996 she was teaching at the Rotterdam Business School on the topics of Quality Management and Customer Orientation.

In 1995 she was asked for the position of senior consultant in KVM Consultants, Rotterdam.
She took care of consultancy and management training concerning organizational change and development, human resource management, implementation of quality management and prevention of absenteeism. In this period she worked for organizations such as Akzo Chemicals, Ministry of Justice, City Councils of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Since 1998 she works as an independent management consultant based in Barcelona, Spain. She works for organizations such as the City Council of Barcelona, Catalan Police Force, Hospital Vall d'Hebron, Institut CatalĂ  de Salut, Metropolitan Transport of Barcelona, University Pompeu Fabra, Akzo Nobel, Shell, DSM, and the business schools EADA and IESE.

Marianne specializes in analysis, design and support of change processes within organizations, quality management - meaning, improvement of internal processes and customer orientated services -, management training on subjects as communication skills, cultural awareness, leadership, negotiation, executive and team coaching, and problem solving.
